A beginner-friendly guide to paying via FPX when you choose Billplz (FPX) at checkout.
What is FPX?
FPX is Malaysia’s online banking payment method. When you select FPX, you will:
- Choose your bank from a list
- Log in on your bank’s official page/app
- Approve the payment using your bank’s security step (OTP/TAC/secure approval)
FPX payments are typically real-time — once successful, your order is marked as paid automatically.
Before you start (important)
- Currency: FPX payments are in MYR (Malaysian Ringgit).
- You need access to online banking: You must be able to log in and approve transactions for the bank account you’re using.
- Transaction limits apply: Every bank/account can have different per-transaction and daily limits.
Do foreign banks work with FPX?
Generally, no. FPX is designed for participating Malaysian banks. If your bank account doesn’t have FPX/online banking access in the FPX bank list, you won’t be able to complete the payment using FPX.

Transaction limits & disclaimers
- Limits vary by bank and account type. Your bank may restrict how much you can send per transaction/day.
- We do not control bank limits. If your payment fails due to a limit, you’ll need to adjust limits in your banking app (if available) or use another payment option.
- If your order amount is above your limit: you can try a different bank account, change payment method, or contact us for guidance.
- Bank maintenance happens. Some banks may be temporarily unavailable at certain times; if so, try again later or choose another method.
Step-by-step: how to pay with FPX
- Step 1: At checkout, select Billplz (FPX) → Bank Transfer.
- Step 2: Enter the required details (e.g., email/phone if prompted).
- Step 3: Choose your bank from the list.
- Step 4: You will be redirected to your bank’s official login page/app.
- Step 5: Confirm the payment details (amount in MYR and the payee) and approve the payment.
- Step 6: Wait for the success screen and redirect back to the Billplz/checkout confirmation page.
How to confirm your payment went through
- You should see a successful payment message after approval.
- You may receive a receipt/confirmation from Billplz or your bank.
- If the payment was successful, your order should show as paid automatically.
If your FPX payment fails or is stuck
- “Failed” or “Unsuccessful”: Most commonly due to bank limits, temporary bank downtime, or an incomplete approval step.
- “Pending”: Wait a few minutes and refresh. If it still doesn’t update, contact us with your order number and any Billplz reference (if shown).
- Accidentally closed the page: Check your bank transaction history. If money was deducted, contact us so we can help reconcile the payment.

- Never share your OTP/TAC or banking password with anyone.
- Always verify the amount before approving.
